BIOGRAPHY
Rubén Aguirre was a Mexican actor, comedian, producer and director, born on June 15, 1934, in Saltillo, Coahuila. Although he obtained a degree in agricultural engineering in Chihuahua, Aguirre became interested in television and began his career in Monterrey, before moving to Mexico City, where he worked in broadcasting, where he met Roberto Gómez Bolaños, with whom he formed a friendship and a series of collaborations at his side, first in sketches of the program Sábados de la Fortuna , and later in the series Los supergenios , which would evolve into the television phenomenon Chespirito . Rubén was known internationally for several characters created by Roberto, but it was Professor Jirafales that propelled him to fame and widespread memory. He died at age 82, in 2016, at his home in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, due to complications from pneumonia.
