Drinking wine is, like, so fetch! Just ask Jonathan Bennett, who played North Shore hottie Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls. The actor, 37, has teamed up with Nocking Point Wines to release a duo of alcoholic drinks inspired by the iconic 2004 film.
The wines, “I’m a Red, Duh” and “Wednesday Rosé,” are each named in honor of lines from the beloved movie. To create the cleverly named libations, Bennett joined forces with Arrow star Stephen Amell and Andrew Harding, a former MTV executive, who founded Nocking Point in 2013.
The label has thus far released a host of celebrity collaborations with stars such as Jason Momoa, Aisha Tyler and Vanderpump Rules trio Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney. Nocking Point also boasts an ongoing mission to charities. It’s current quarterly box includes a wine called “Reasons for Red” with proceeds directly benefiting F–k Cancer – a foundation dedicated to early cancer detection for both men and women. The label’s second quarterly box is slated to benefit mental health organizations.
April’s collaboration with Bennett marks the second time in recent months that the Cake Wars host has combined his most famous role with his love of food. In October 2018 Bennett released The Burn Cookbook, which he cowrote. The tome features a host of Mean Girls-inspired recipes, including Cake Made of Rainbows and Smiles and Fetch-uccini Alfredo.
In fact, the book even inspired the label for “Wednesday Rosé,” which features a burn book-esque black and white font.

“What I love about rosé is that it’s the perfect wine to drink during the day with your friends on the weekend. And one of my favorite things to do is have brunch,” Bennett explained in a video about his creation. If you’re going to have brunch at home with your girlfriends, this is the wine for you, this is exactly what everyone is going to want to drink. With rosé, it’s like the perfect mix – it’s not red, it’s not white, it’s just right.”
Bennett is particularly fond of the drink because it’s balanced and has a “really nice roundness.”
As he explained: “People love rosés that aren’t too sweet and that are a little bit more on the dry side, and that’s what ‘Wednesday Rosé’ is.”
